Brands

A 10DLC Brand is your business's "verified profile" in the eyes of mobile carriers and tells them exactly who is sending SMS messages. Your company can register more than one Brand, and this is recommended if your messaging is such that multiple Brands are represented.

What Brand information does Quiq collect?

When your Brand information is submitted, TCR utilizes third-party independent partners to verify the Brand using the provided Tax ID, Legal Company Name, and Tax ID Issuing Country. For Brand registration, we will collect the following information:

  • Your Legal Company Name
  • Your Doing-Business-As Brand name
  • Your Brand Ambassador’s name and contact information
  • The Type of company registering
  • Your company’s Tax Number/EIN/CBN
  • Your company’s headquarters address
  • The website presence URL for your company
  • Your stock symbol and exchange (if applicable)
  • Your vertical type

What is a Company Type?

When registering your Company Type, you can choose from one of the following options:

  • Private Profit is a business owned by individuals or groups rather than public shareholders. This category is open to businesses from various countries around the world.
  • Public Profit is for corporations whose shares are traded on public stock exchanges. Registration requires standard company details plus a website, stock symbol, and the name of the exchange where they are listed.
  • Non-profit brands are charitable organizations that do not distribute earnings to owners or directors. This specific classification is reserved exclusively for organizations based in the US or those holding a US EIN.
  • Government is for any level of government agency, including local, state, or federal bodies.
  • Sole Proprietor is designed for individuals or very small businesses in the U.S. and Canada that do not have a federal EIN. Registration uses the owner’s personal name and contact info, a "Doing Business As" (DBA) name, and a unique internal reference ID.

Brand Identity Verification (Auth+)

For those companies that register as Public Profit, there is an additional verification process known as Auth+. This provides an additional layer of security to protect your company against smishing, spoofing, and other fraudulent activity potentially conducted by people or groups attempting to impersonate your Brand.

For this process, an email is sent from "[email protected]" which will ask you to complete the Auth+ verification process. The 2FA email will contain a Verification PIN and a link. Clicking on the link, you will be directed to a site and prompted to enter the following information:

  • Brand Ambassador First Name
  • Brand Ambassador Last Name
  • Brand Ambassador Job Title
  • Verification PIN from the 2FA email
📘

Note that the Brand Ambassador’s email domain must match the online presence URL registered on the Brand.

Once your Brand and Brand Identity are verified, you can then begin the process of registering your 10DLC Campaign.

Currently, Auth+ is only required for companies that register as Public Profit; however, Quiq encourages this verification for all customers as the process is simple and expected to become a requirement for all Brands in the near future.
